My husband and I had been going to the Big Island for a couple of years prior to meeting Julie; and we had casually been meeting with another realtor until that point. After meeting Julie, we formed an immediate bond, and knew that she would be the one to find our forever home on Hawaii. From the start she was funny, blunt, real and constantly added her own real life experiences of moving to the island, so that we could truly get a human experience from her. For the next year, she religiously sent us listings, even called me personally for one's that she felt were maybe 'the one', and always made sure our preferences hadn't changed. Julie helped us find our dream home in less than 6 days. We flew to Kona from California to look for houses in a very difficult (low) price range. Julie let us come to our own conclusions about what was too far south or too much work, even when we were looking at some really rough properties. She provided helpful observations on termites and other damage. But let me explain the things she did for us that made her truly stand out as an excellent real estate agent. We flew to Kona on a Tuesday. After looking at literally every house in Kona in our price range, we put an aggressive offer on a fixer-upper house. Julie wrote the offer very quickly and submitted it on Thursday. The other side verbally sounded positive about the deal. However, Julie did some background work and found out on Friday the deal likely would not go through due to liens and other amounts owed by the owner. If she had not done this work, we would not have known until we were back in California that the deal fell through. These 6 days were our only opportunity to find a house. Because of her extra effort, we found out while were still in town with a couple days left look at other properties. We scoured the listings and looked at one more property just outside of Kona on Saturday morning. This was our last hope. It was PERFECT with literally everything we wanted, except for one thing: it was $20K above our maximum budget. Julie helped us write up the offer Saturday afternoon for our maximum budget amount, $20K below asking. (She said we had a chance because it had been on the market for over a month and was a foreclosure.) We left town on Sunday not knowing yet if the bank had accepted our offer, but hoping this dream house would be ours. On Monday, Julie said they countered at $10K below asking. She knew our situation and stood firm resubmitted our exact same offer of $20K below asking...and it was accepted! Julie is patient, helpful, and really looks out for your best interest. She also was very easy to work with remotely since most of our communication was from California. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy a house in Kona.

Julie is good at what she does. Julie is a great listener and she found me a lace very quickly. She also helped my son and his wife find a home in their price range.
